There is Hope
Sin, and deep down, we all know what that is, hurts, destroys, and divides. The worst consequence of sin is the separation that it causes between God and man. Because of sin, man cannot commune with God, much less live with God in eternal bliss. Otherwise, Heaven would be infected with sin and would no longer be Heaven. But God who is rich in mercy has provided help to the helpless and hope for the hopeless. His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth and He is the only way to right the wrongs of sin. Jesus, who is both the second person of the Godhead and the one and only God of all creation became man and died in man’s place for all the sins of mankind. However, a transaction must take place in every man’s life before he can be made whole. God offers forgiveness of sin and righteousness to all and only all who will believe on Christ. God’s offer to man is simple because the heavy lifting has already been done. God puts it this way in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Mission
To be a community of people whose life, teaching, worship, and service demonstrate Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. We want to know God and make Him known. In our teaching and preaching from the Bible, you will see the relevance of Jesus Christ to every aspect of life. Jesus makes the difference in every relationship, role, and responsibility we possess.
Bible
Hey, it only makes sense. If God will hold us to the truth, we must be able to hold the truth in our hands and understand the requirements set forth therein. That is what the Bible is, the truth of God revealed to man, the understanding of which is made possible by the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Given in perfection by God to man, God’s Word has been preserved by God for all men for all time. There are enough corroborating manuscripts in Greek and Hebrew, the original languages in which the Bible was given, to know that God has been faithful to preserve His Word. We believe the most reliable texts are the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Textus Receptus. We believe the King James Version to be the most accurate English translation of these texts readily available to English speaking people.
